New Publications – Maple Syrup History from Québec

Maple history fans will be interested in a new book titled Maple Syrup History: Fun Facts – Production Evolution – Spouts by Maxime Caouette. The book is an English translation of Maxime’s French language book Histoire Acéricole:  Anecdotes – Procédés techniques – Chalumeaux,  originally published in Québec in 2023.

I previously wrote a post about the original release of the French version of the book, which one can read at this link.  Finding the French version of the book to be a valuable contribution to maple history from a Québecois perspective, I contacted Maxime Caouette and we quickly became friends and maple history colleagues.  That connection led me to urge Maxime to consider translating his book into English, which he has thankfully done here.  This book is an important addition to the library of any readers interested in maple history.
